As a Paddle Boarding Counselor, you'll play a vital and rewarding role in our summer camp. Your primary responsibility is to provide instruction and support to campers of different ages. Your patience, empathy, and understanding will help create an inclusive and welcoming environment where all campers feel valued and included. As a Counselor, you'll be an advocate and a source of encouragement for our campers, helping them overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Your dedication to fostering a positive and enriching experience for all campers will create lasting memories and a sense of belonging in our camp community. Campers to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment. Lifeguard training is provided at camp.
Staff Training Week provided
Beber Camp is a coed residential Jewish summer camp in Mukwonago, WI. We are 90 minutes Northwest of Chicago and 30 minutes from Milwaukee, WI. We serve 300 campers per 4 week session. Staff are hired as either general counselors or specialists but all live in cabin with campers. We offer over 60 different activities, including waterskiing, ropes/challenge course, climbing, arts and crafts, circus arts, music, sports and many more! Beber camp strives to foster close friendships, personal growth, community and religious and spiritual identity. International counselors and support staff need not be Jewish. We are an inclusive environment where we want to bring the world to our campers! Counselors are responsible for the overall supervision and organization of campers with the aim of providing a healthy, safe, and fun camp environment. Beber Camp counselors exhibit strong leadership skills and are creative in planning and implementing programs and activities for campers. Cabin counselors live in a bunk with a group of 12-16 of campers and other co-cabin counselors. Direct, supervise, and organize a group of campers in the cabin, during activities, and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes. Responsible for leading and assisting with teaching activities inside and outside the cabin. Display a good, positive attitude and appropriate workplace behavior. Beber Camp provides children with a safe, fun, and meaningful Jewish summer camp experience. We provide a list of upcoming events in Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee and New Berlin for staff to enjoy during their time off. This can range from concerts, museums, tours, local restaurants, etc.
Either Dorm Style or Shared counselor-only space in a cabin.
